On the 12th of February 2020 RT36 held their annual general meeting at the RT36 clubhouse in Walvis Bay.
As part of his portfolio and in line with our general guidelines, our outgoing Chairman, Mr Steven Peake (soon to be 41er) reported on the past Table year. His report highlighted the income generated with our projects, goodwill, handovers and fellowship. One of the highlights worth mentioning is the annual Winterknights campaign where we raised in excess of N$500 000.00 in foodstuff and money. Not bad for a Table with 7 members! Our constitution was also changed to bring us in line with the Namibian Area and RTSA constitutions. We are losing two members to the 41er club this year, BUT fortunately we have two Pipeliners and also two guests keen to join our ranks.
During the proceedings our new Table chairman Mr Byron Westerdale was inducted followed by the induction of our Vice Chairman, Mr Martin Degele. This is Byron’s third term leading our Table. Byron introduced his Council for the year and some new faces put up their hands for portfolio’s and projects. Exciting times ahead for RT36. The younger generation is taking over which will ensure growth and new opportunities for our Table.
Thank you to Steven for leading our Table this past year, and good luck to all portfolio holders for the year 2020/21. To every Tabler, Pipeliner and Guest – Give it rondels.
